2010 RID Region V Conference

The RID Region V conference committee is currently soliciting presentations for the 2010 conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference provides participants opportunities to learn about various topics in the field of interpreting. Proposals may cover a wide spectrum of topics and can include ASL and English linguistics, ethical decision-making, interpreting in specific settings, skill building, culture and more.
Application process:
To be considered as a presenter at the 2010 RID Region V Conference, please submit the following (electronic submission is required):
1) A complete application form
2) A one-page abstract summarizing the topic of your workshop
3) Resume
4) Completed RID CEU form
Submit all materials to RegionVProgramChair2010@yahoo.com no later than February 5, 2010.
Receipt of electronic proposals will be confirmed within one week of submission.
Proposal documents will be blind reviewed. Presenters will be notified of acceptance by February 26, 2010.
Presenters chosen for the conference will be expected to make presentation materials available to the Interpreter Coordinator by May 10, 2010. In addition, we will request a .jpeg photo file of presenters for the conference program book.
